Seeking help is a courageous act of self-care.
My clients describe me as a therapist with whom they:
Feel comfortable and safe.
Deeply trust to share all aspects of themselves.
Courage and Safety
I believe that entering therapy is an act of courage and hope. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and respectful therapeutic environment by fostering a collaborative relationship and recognizing that you are the expert of your own life. I hold the trust you place in our therapeutic relationship and the process of therapy in the highest regard.
The first step of therapy is creating a safe space for you to share your experiences, where you can feel heard, cared for, and understood. A safe therapeutic relationship can be a reparative experience for those who have felt alone, hurt, or abandoned by others. Through empathy, curiosity, and acceptance, I can help you better track, regulate, and express your emotions, understand relational patterns, and identify limiting beliefs that cause pain and hold you back.
Sitting with painful emotions can be uncomfortable, but I strive to provide the right balance of compassion, guidance, and support to help you move toward your goals. Together, we’ll work collaboratively to identify your specific treatment goals and create a personalized plan to achieve them. I’ll provide lots of education to help you understand what's going on each step of the way. We’ll build on your current strengths as we work towards developing ways to find relief from current difficulties and creating positive changes.
I am deeply passionate about my work as a therapist and the potential within each person to heal and grow. Through newfound understanding, self-awareness, and self-acceptance, I’ve witnessed clients transform their lives. My clients are able to handle stress more flexibly, connect with others more successfully, and become the most authentic version of themselves. My hope for you is that you cultivate a meaningful and purposeful life in connection with yourself and others.
